AOSIS Leaders Unite to Shape the Future of Small Island States

Tonga’s Prime Minister Hon. Hu’akavameiliku attended a meeting of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) during the UN General Assembly’s High-Level Week on September 23 in New York. Leaders focused on critical initiatives, including the implementation of the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS) and unlocking finance for Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

Key topics included leveraging the Multi-dimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI) and a proposed Debt Sustainability Support Service.
