According to Peter Wickham the snap election was an open secret within the Barbados Labour Party considering that the party has been declaring new candidates and replacing old ones.

COVID 19 he says is a reality that every country must deal with and Barbados is no different, therefore the presence of the virus ought not to stop the election process.
