The Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) on September 6 launched its first podcast, the eight-episode series – Islands on Alert, highlighting the realities facing Small Island Developing States as the climate change crisis erodes lives and livelihoods.
The series features real-life stories from the frontline of the fight against climate change, with inspiring testimonies from young innovators, activists, and leading policymakers who are working to build a better future and challenging the world to step up with urgent climate action.
Islands on Alert will release one episode each week leading up to the pivotal, two-week climate negotiations, COP26, that begin in Glasgow, UK, on November 1.
The podcast will be hosted by Antigua and Barbuda’s Andy Liburd.
