A.B.A.A. mourns the horrific death of former CEO Stanley Smith

The board and management of the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority A.B.A.A. have reacted with sadness to the death of Stanley Smith.

Smith, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Authority died in a horrific car crash in Dania Beach in Broward County in Florida Monday, August 16 afternoon.

According to reports from Miami, he had been driving his Jaguar SUV when it crashed into a concrete utility pole.

International media agencies also showed footage of the accident, where the vehicle, slammed into the pole then became engulfed in flames approximately 20 seconds after impact.

In the video, bystanders are seen using a ladder to break the car’s window and pulled out two passengers which included a 29-year-old woman and a six-year old girl.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the surviving victims were rushed to the hospital with severe burns and broken bones.
