Antigua and Barbuda, Wednesday January 22, 2025 – The Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) is proud to spotlight Rawle Reynolds, Pier Operations Manager at Antigua Cruise Port, as the latest feature in the “Unveiling Hospitality Professionals” series. With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Reynolds exemplifies the passion, dedication, and adaptability that define success in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Mr. Reynolds embarked on his journey in hospitality in 1987, guided by the invaluable mentorship of industry stalwarts Mr. Daniel Cadet and Mr. Ted Isaac. His career has been a testament to his love for travel and genuine enthusiasm for connecting with people. From managing hotels and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for small hotel operations across the Caribbean to serving as City Manager of St. John’s, Antigua, and running an online travel business, Mr. Reynolds has consistently demonstrated a commitment to elevating the visitor experience.

In his current role as Pier Operations Manager at Antigua Cruise Port, Mr. Reynolds is responsible for the seamless execution of daily pier operations. He oversees all aspects of passenger embarkation, disembarkation, and vessel movements, ensuring that efficiency, safety, and visitor satisfaction remain top priorities. By coordinating key stakeholders, including cruise lines, security teams, and service providers, he ensures that operations meet international standards while enhancing the appeal of Antigua as a premier cruise destination.

Under his leadership, Antigua Cruise Port has embraced innovative technologies, introduced new services, and enhanced its aesthetic appeal to create a world-class visitor experience. These efforts not only optimize the port’s performance but also solidify its reputation as a critical contributor to Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism sector.

As a mentor and advocate for the next generation of hospitality professionals, Mr. Reynolds offers valuable advice: “Stay relentlessly curious and open-minded. Embrace every opportunity to learn and grow, whether through formal education, hands-on experience, or stepping out of your comfort zone. Networking and adaptability are critical to thriving in this dynamic industry.”
