Attorney General and Minister of Immigration, Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin, has urged seven young Barbudans undergoing training as Immigration Officers for the new Barbuda International Airport to strive for excellence ahead of its October 3, 2024 opening.
In his address, Sir Steadroy emphasized the importance of setting high standards in airport operations, encouraging trainees to embrace their roles as pioneers for Barbuda.
Sen. Hon. Knacyntar Nedd-Charles, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, echoed these sentiments, advising the trainees to take their responsibilities seriously and act with integrity.
The two-week training program is being led by Deputy Chief Immigration Officer Mr. Nigel Emanuel and Officer in Charge of Barbuda Ms. Jo-Ann Small.
