Resilience in the Face of Change: Pringle Highlights UPP’s Ongoing Growth

Jamale Pringle, Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), addressed the resignation of Arif Jonas, emphasizing it was due to personal reasons rather than dissatisfaction with the party. Pringle expressed full support for Jonas during this challenging time.

Acknowledging public concern, Pringle reflected on the party’s history of overcoming resignations, citing past members who left but emphasizing that the UPP has always rebounded. He noted that despite recent departures, the party welcomed 160 new members since January, highlighting its ongoing growth.

Pringle announced upcoming new candidates, promising they would bring “credibility” and “a new outlook” to the UPP. He urged members to stay united and focused on the real issues facing Antigua and Barbuda, particularly the current administration.

As elections approach, Pringle reassured the public of the UPP’s commitment to its vision and readiness to tackle future challenges, stating, “It’s not about me; it’s about what’s best for the party and the people.”
