In a dramatic display of political and spiritual unity, Prime Minister Honourable Gaston Browne and Opposition Leader Honourable Jamale Pringle joined forces today for a National Day of Prayer in Antigua and Barbuda. This rare collaboration has been hailed as great hope in a time of increasing national tensions. Peetron Thomas, a prominent humanitarian and beloved singer, took to Facebook to commend the leaders for their groundbreaking show of solidarity. His post captures the essence of this significant event:
“A Moment of Truth!!!!! A Moment of Unity!!!!!!! Today, we witnessed something truly profound. Standing together, the Prime Minister, Honourable Gaston Browne, and the leader of the opposition, Honourable Pringle, showed us that even in our differences, we can unite for a greater cause. This day of prayer has sparked something powerful, and I believe that real change is on the horizon for our nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Prayer is our greatest weapon, a shield that protects us from the darkness and challenges we face. In the name of Jesus, I come against every dark force, every evil, every hindering spirit. We command all violence to cease now, in the mighty name of Jesus. Every witch, every warlock, every demon, every spirit trying to devour this country…..we bind you in the name of Jesus! We call on the angels, we call on the power and strength of the God that we serve. With the spirits of our ancestors, we call for unity upon this land. The God that brought us through slavery. The God that brought us through COVID. The God who will bring us through even these times. In faith and strength, we stand together as one nation under one God!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~Peetron “
This powerful display of unity comes at a critical time when the nation faces increasing challenges and unrest. The leaders’ joint prayer effort and Thomas’s impassioned commentary reflect a collective call for healing and strength as Antigua and Barbuda navigates these turbulent times.
