Local Philanthropist Donates Football Uniforms to Irene B. Secondary School

Community Spirit in Action: Damion “Billy” Tonge donates new football uniforms to the U20 team at Irene B. Secondary School, inspiring local youth athletics.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, local philanthropist Damion “Billy” Tonge, known as “King Warrior,” donated brand-new football uniforms to the U20 team of Irene B. Secondary School during a General Assembly on September 23, 2024.

A former student of IBWSS, Mr. Tonge expressed gratitude for the school’s influence on his life and highlighted his commitment to supporting youth athletics. The donation received enthusiastic applause from students and faculty alike.

Special appreciation was extended to JOMA Caribbean and Francis Printery for their assistance in this initiative.

In addition to the uniforms, Mr. Tonge pledged to supply Gatorade and water for the players at every game, further enhancing their experience.

As King Warrior continues to inspire others, there is hope for further advancements in youth sports across the island. With their new gear, the IBWSS U20 team looks forward to upcoming matches, motivated by community support and the spirit of giving back.
