Antigua and Barbuda Prepares for 43rd Independence Celebration

The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission (ABFC) has officially announced the schedule and theme for the upcoming 43rd Anniversary of Independence, with events running from October 23rd to November 1st. The visually striking logo, crafted by the Visual Echo team, symbolizes the nation’s spirit of togetherness.

This year’s theme, “Antigua and Barbuda: From Community Collaboration to Global Gains,” was selected after thorough discussions among the ABFC Commissioners. Minister of Education, Sports, and Creative Industries, Honourable Daryll S. Matthew, stressed the theme’s importance, highlighting that collaboration is essential for addressing national challenges and fostering progress.

Ambassador Elizabeth Makhoul, Chair of the ABFC, noted that this focus on teamwork showcases the country’s potential for achieving international success. She urged citizens to participate in the Independence celebrations, reinforcing the idea that collective efforts can lead to meaningful accomplishments.
