No more Curfew in Grenada

Grenada – Meanwhile in Grenada after almost two years of strict measures to safeguard against the spread of COVID 19, the health minister Nickolas Steel announced on Tuesday during the government’s press briefing that the decision was made to discontinue the curfew, which was for mid-night to 4 AM.

While Grenadians seems to be a bit more relax with this decision, but the health minister is imploring upon them to not be complacent taking into the consideration the new variant-OMICRON.

The Minister added do not let your guards down, follow all protocols and protect yourself from the spread of COVID 19.

While there has been a discontinuation of the curfew other protocols implemented to safeguard against the spread of the virus remains in effect.

In a recent interview with Grenada’s Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell,he highlighted that Covid-19 poses a threat to everyone and as such, any meaningful attempt to address the disease and its impact, requires a collaborative effort.

He said, “Covid-19 is no respecter of class or affiliation. As it goes lurking through our communities, finding refuge as it travels indiscriminately from one body to the next, it poses a threat to us all, a clear and present danger to the healthy, wealthy and the most vulnerable. But in the midst of the threat, a pathway is illuminated, created by a mix of individual and shared responsibility.”
