Major sponsor back on board for next year’s Classic Yacht Regatta, and registration is open for 2022

Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta is expected to make a return in 2022 after being off the circuit for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organisers say the annual event is expected to make a comeback from March 30 to April 4 next year.

They are extending an invitation to those interested in the event to register and come back, as its watchmaker, Locman, will return as one of the major sponsors.

Its renowned time pieces will be offered as prizes.

According to the organisers, the Dragon Class will return also, while a new Historic Class of yachts, built or designed on or before 1976 with any keel configuration, will be introduced.

The organisers say that persons have already shown a lot of interest in returning to take part in the event.

It was noted that the current COVID-19 protocols will be in place, in that everyone must be fully vaccinated in order to enter the country by sea or air and no quarantine is required. (Real News)
