Another spike in Covid-19 Cases in Antigua and Barbuda

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) revealed eighty-two (82) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Sunday 5th September 2021 at 6pm.

Two hundred (200) samples were processed at CARPHA.

Twenty (20) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to one thousand three hundred and eighty-nine (1389).

One (1) Covid-19 related death was recorded increasing the total to forty-seven (47).

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is one thousand nine hundred and sixty (1960); which is inclusive of five hundred and twenty-four (524) active cases. There are thirty-three (33) hospitalized cases; twenty-six (26) mild, three (3) moderate and four (4) severe.

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated thirty four thousand six hundred and twelve (34,612) individuals while seven thousand seven hundred and ten (7,710) have only received their first dose.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
