Case involving former UPP Ministers adjourned to July 12

High Court Judge Justice Colin Williams has again adjourned the criminal matter concerning Former UPP parliamentarians Harold Lovell, Jacquie Quinn, and Wilmoth Daniel.

Defense attorney Chaku Symister requested the adjournment this morning after telling the court the defence’s lead attorney, Dane Hamilton QC, could not make it to court for trial before September.

He said Hamilton QC, who was recently retained in the case, has other matters outside the jurisdiction.

The judge adjourned the matter to July 12 for case management.

Police charged the former government ministers in relation to three Daewoo 48-seater buses that were donated to the government of Antigua & Barbuda by the government of South Korea.

Investigators allege they each converted one of the public buses for personal benefit.
