No school sports says Sports Minister

Student athletes will have to wait an additional year to compete in  their school colors as it has been revealed that no competitive school sports will be played this term.

Usually, in second term, majority of the school sports, be it, basketball, netball, volleyball and even cricket are held but due to the ongoing covid pandemic, Matthew explained this morning  that although Antigua has done well to limit its cases ‘it is still too mich of a risk’ and no competitive sports will be played.

He asked that the athletes and more so the various coaches in each discipline exercise patience as ‘we continue to glide through this pandemic’.
