After news broke earlier this week about the break-in at the Victory Centre, Cabinet has decided to step up in a major way by donating $10,000 dollars to the school.
A plea was also made by the Cabinet ministers to “members of the business sector to make contributions to these causes to help not only the less fortunate but those individuals within our community who are challenged”.

According to school officials, the stolen equipment includes air-conditioning units from multiple classrooms, two televisions, two speakers, an ice maker, seven tablets, two five-gallon water bottles, and a transformer. The loss has placed significant strain on the institution, which serves children with special needs.
Founded in 2012, the Victory Center provides specialized education and developmental support for students with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, learning disabilities and other developmental challenges. The school operates with small, ability-based classes and individualized learning plans, with some students remaining long-term while others transition back into the public school system.
Administrators say the stolen items are directly tied to creating a safe and supportive environment for the children, noting that classroom equipment plays a critical role in communication, sensory needs, and overall learning.
The school is urging anyone with information on the theft to contact the authorities or reach out to the Victory Center confidentially.
