Two employees at a Jonas Road establishment were taken to hospital Tuesday morning following a violent altercation that left both parties with head injuries.
The incident occurred around 10am on July 16, 2025, involving two males. According to reports, the confrontation began when one of the men received a phone call from his child’s mother, who appeared to be distressed at the time.
Sources said that conversation was the trigger for the dispute.
The incident was reported to authorities through separate channels, with one of the men contacting the police station directly, and the emergency services receiving a call from the other combatant.
One of the men involved said that he was wounded on the left side of his head with a cutlass while the other indicated that he sustained his head injury from a stone that was thrown at him during the altercation.
According to reports, both men were issued medical forms and instructed to seek medical attention. One of the injured parties was transported to Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre via emergency transport, where he was treated and subsequently discharged.
Both parties have provided statements to officers regarding the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
