Police confiscate $60,000 Worth of Cannabis at Deep Water Harbour

A joint operation by Police and Customs resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis at Deep Water Harbour on July 16, 2025.

Law enforcement agencies searched the primary seaport, finding a barrel with nineteen vacuum-sealed packages of cannabis, in packaged weighing about 7½ pounds. The packages were said to have an an estimated street value of EC $60,000.

They were confiscated and taken to police headquarters, where investigations are ongoing.

As the Royal Police Force continues to strategically detect and prevent the illegal importation of controlled substances, they welcome collaboration with all entities, local and regional.
