Police dominate Mahico while Freetown beat Blackhawks in Sir Richie Richardson Parish League cricket

There were victories for Police and Freetown in the ACB Caribbean Parish League’s Sir Richie Richardson Ltd Overs competition on Saturday with the lawmen enjoying the largest margin of victory, beating Mahico by 91 runs.

Batting first, Police posted 200 for three with Damon Valentinesmashing 81 and Vincent Shadrach Jr hitting 66. Nayon Frederickwas the pick of the bowlers for Mahico, claiming two wickets for 28 runs.

When their turn at the crease arrived, Mahico were restricted to just 109 for eight with Dion Samuel hitting a top score of 57. Kisean Francis and Trevorson Atley did the damage with the ball for the victors with two for 11 and two for 15 respectively.

Meanwhile, Freetown enjoyed a three-wickets triumph over Liberta Blackhawks. Batting first, Blackhawks were limited to just 117 for six in their 26 overs with Tayari Tonge hitting a top score of 39. Antwuan Willock bagged three for 28 bowling for the winners.

Freetown then successfully chased down their target at 118 for seven. Cleton Payne hit a top score 31 while Jamaul Fernandezadded 24 to the successful effort. Vishal Gobin was the top bowler for Blackhawks, claiming four wickets for just 19 runs while Elvis Weaver Jr bagged two for 28.
