In back-to-back exciting volleyball matches held on Wednesday, Pytonz and Da Squad each claimed decisive 3-1 victories over their respective opponents in Division One of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association at the JSC Sports Complex.
Pytonz defeated Storming Lions with a final score of 3-1 even though the Lions claimed the first set 25-23 in a closely fought 28-minute opener. However, Pytonz responded immediately in the second set, leveling the match with a commanding 25-19.
The momentum continued to shift toward the third set, where they capitalized on their growing confidence to secure a crucial 25-17 and in the fourth set maintained their composure to seal the match with a 25-22 win.
Da Squad continued the trend of 3-1 victories with their victory over Paragons as they established control early with a comfortable 25-13 win in the first set. They maintained their advantage in the second set, securing a 25-16 victory in 23 minutes. However, Paragons showed resilience in the third set, rallying to claim their only set of the match with a 25-21 win in just under 25 minutes. Da Squad quickly regrouped and closed out the match in the fourth set with another decisive 25-13 victory.
