The Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB) has announced that it will discontinue processing payments for American Express credit cards effective April 30, 2025.
In a notice issued to customers, ECAB advised account holders to make alternative payment arrangements in advance to ensure a smooth transition. The bank also directed affected customers to contact American Express Customer Service for further assistance.
ECAB did not specify the reason for the discontinuation, but the move could impact cardholders who rely on the bank for processing payments.
