The Ministry of Sports Congratulates the two athletes from the EduSports Track & Field group Ms. Ranique Richards and Ms. Zonique Charles for the outstanding performance during the ABAA Development Meet on Saturday 18th January 2025 and for qualifying for the 2025 CARIFTA Games.
First to qualify on the day was Ranique Richards who attends the Princess Margaret Secondary. Ranique threw a distance of 12.14m to surpass the 11.90m Carifta Games standard in the U17 girls shot put. This will be Ranique’s first CARIFTA games.
Looking forward to her second Carifta games, is Zonique Charles who attends the Sir Novelle Richards Academy. Zonique threw a distance of 44.14m in the female U17 Javelin to surpass the 35m carifta standard.
