UNESCO’s Transcultura Programme Invites Young Caribbean Artists for Cultural Exchange in Europe

Caribbean musicians invited to apply for an all-expenses-paid opportunity to showcase their talent in Belgium.

The Transcultura Programme, which integrates Cuba, the Caribbean, and the European Union through culture and creativity, has partnered with the Fifty Lab Music Festival to offer young Caribbean musicians a chance to perform at a leading alternative music event in Belgium.

Selected artists will come from 17 countries in the region, including Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The programme will cover all costs for up to four musicians, including flights, accommodation, meals, and transportation for an eight-night stay in Brussels from November 8 to 16. Musicians in specific categories—saxophone, trumpet, percussion, and piano/keyboard—are encouraged to apply.

This initiative aims to enhance the international visibility of Caribbean talent, promote their work, and facilitate networking with European artists.

Applications are due by September 27, 2024, at 11:59 PM Havana time. Application Form
