BARBADOS: 19-year-old dies after hit-and-run

A St. Philip family is in mourning following a hit-and-run incident, which claimed the life of a young woman last night.

Police say around 8:30, 19-year-old Quiara Callendar of Nursery #2, Four Roads, St. Philip was walking along Rices Main Road in the area of the Pavilion in the company of a neighbour. Both were struck by a vehicle, which did not stop.

The neighbour received minor injuries and was treated and discharged.

They say the driver can do so alone or accompanied by a friend or attorney.
