The New Immigration Amnesty Program Has Started Today

Antigua and Barbuda’s new amnesty program which aims to help immigrants to resolve their immigration issues has started today March 1, 2022.

The department is expecting scores of individuals to come forth and reap the benefits of this initiative which will allow them to be able to live and work on the islands legally.

The two main goals of the amnesty program are firstly “To regularize residency of anyone who has resided in Antigua more than four years but less than seven and the other for those who have been resident in Antigua for more than seven years and would therefore qualify for citizenship.”

According to Cabinet notes, “The amnesty processing fee will be EC $200.00 per person which will accompany the application form; and, an extension fee will be EC$150.00 for CARICOM nationals and
EC$300.00 for non-CARICOM nationals.”
