Kentucky- 64 Dead in 9 Counties After Tornados Ripped Through Southern US States on Friday Night

At least 64 deaths have been confirmed in Kentucky alone after tornado producing thunderstorms ravaged the southern states late Friday night.

Governor Andy Beshear stated this morning that the death toll is expected to rise to at least 70.

Most of the devastation was seen in Graves County, where tornados left at least 200 miles of destruction and killed at least 20.

Furthermore, 8 factory workers have been confirmed dead with 8 others missing after the building collapsed.

Other counties with storm-related deaths include: Hopkins County, 13; Fulton County, 1; Muhlenberg County, 11; Caldwell County, 4; Marshall County, 1; Taylor County, 1; Lyon County, 1; and Warren County, 12.

The victims range from 5 months old to 86 years old with 6 of them being under 18 years old, he said. Statewide, 105 people remain unaccounted for, Beshear said. Of the 64 confirmed deaths, 18 have not yet been identified.
