UPP St. Peter’s Primary Heating Up MPs intimidation wont work

A Member of Parliament is busy in the St Peters Constituency trying to ensure that people do not come out to vote in Thursday’s United Progressive Party St.Peter Primary, well placed sources within the branch have reported.

The politician who obtained information on the  list of the members of the branch expected to vote in tomorrow’s primary have been busy calling them and encouraging them not to vote for Tevaughn ‘Peter Redz’ Harriette the front runner.

The politician is allegedly using that list to identify individuals for the purposes of treating,  Individuals have complained of receiving calls inviting them to his home and then been asked if they voting for Redz. They were then told not to show up to vote and he inform them that he will be coming to the primary with police and soldiers to prevent them from voting which is considered a form of intimidation.

The actions the Member of Parliament are reportedly geared towards preventing the candidacy of the front-runner Tevaughn ‘Peter Redz’ Harriette. It is believed that the national footballer stands the best chance of winning the seat from incumbent member of parliament Asot Michael. The announcement of Harriette as a potential candidate have made the Member of Parliament very uneasy.  

One branch member who was call is reported to have told the MP that he will not be intimidated and informed the MP that he have recordings of their conversation so if the MP tries anything he would release the recording to the press. The statement according to a well placed source got the MP very angry.

The United Progressive Party have since issued a notice to all members of the branch informing them that extraordinary measures to protect the integrity of the process are being taken and further highlighted the party’s a awareness of efforts to undermine poll for political and personal reasons
