Collin James offer himself again to be ABLP candidate

I offer my candidacy to the constituents of ASE&SL to be the ABLP candidate in the next general elections. Since the conclusion of the general elections in March 2018, I have been working assiduously to position myself as the leading candidate in the constituency of All Saints East & St. Luke under the Antigua & Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) banner in anticipation of contesting the next general elections constitutionally due in 2023.

I have done so by steadfastly sticking with the people of All Saints, Mathews Road, Swetes, Follies, John Hughes, Fig Tree Drive and Old Road. I have demonstrated my commitment to them by listening to their concerns and needs, assisting them with employment, providing resources for their wellbeing, representing them at various government ministries, departments and agencies, sympathizing with them in time of bereavement and making sure I take or return their telephone calls.

I have worked with the youth in education, sports, culture and health initiatives through the Helping Hand Foundation that I inaugurated in 2015.  They have been the recipients of scholarships, laptops, tablets, school supplies and stationery, sporting gear and equipment, organising cultural events and stocking clinics with medical supplies.  The elderly and adults have also benefited from my Food Package Distribution before the COVID-19 pandemic and even more so during this most challenging time of human existence.

I have also caused infrastructure development such as road repairs and construction (concrete and asphalt), replacement of blown streetlights, home improvement and vehicle transactions among others.Where I may be able, or be in a position to provide immediate assistance or relief, I have used my substantial contacts to supplement.

Although the outcome of the last general elections did not meet my expectations, whether they were from mistakes on my part or some voters refusing to support me, I have not held any grudges against the voters of the constituency.

I have remained approachable, amenable and respectful to all. As the ABLP looks forward to selecting a candidate for the All Saints East & St. Luke constituency, I once again offer my candidacy to the people with a firm determination and unwavering resolve to work twice as hard to ensure success not only for myself but the great organisation of Labour.
