Something we usually read in the US news has unfortunately hit close to home this week.
According to reports, a one-year-old female child died at a police station in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica after the child’s father who is a police sergeant allegedly forgot her outside in his car.
The man was supposed to drop the child at daycare but instead went straight to work at the Black River police station.
The child was later discovered unconscious and rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Reports state that the father and his fellow police officers have been left very traumatized by the incident.
