Pharell Williams to Open Resort in Bahamas

Popular pop music artist Pharell Williams has announced that he will be opening a new lifestyle resort alongside popular entrepreneur David Grutman.

The resort named ‘Somewhere Else’ will be the newest addition to Atlantis Paradise Island- the world-famous Bahamas destination known for its coral-pink towers and marine attractions.

Somewhere Else is set to open in January 2024 and will feature a total of 400 rooms and suites, a number of bars and restaurants, bungalows and recording studios. The resort is being designed to highlight indoor-outdoor flows with lush landscaping.

Williams says that the concept of “tropical modernism” is being reimagined for this new space.

“Often, when talking about tropical aesthetics, there’s this harkening back to another time,” He explained. “It’s like, ‘man, let’s let that time be.’ We’re going for the future here.”

Somewhere Else will be anchored by as The Beach which was the first hotel built on Atlantis Paradise Island, and designed by the late Morris Lapidus.

According to reports it will not fall into the more affordable range of resort pricing, but it will also not be priced in the highest luxury bracket.
