Tuesday March 2nd and Wednesday March 3rd 2021 have been designated exclusively for elderly persons to get vaccinated.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is pleased with the high number of senior citizens who turned out on the inaugural day of the public vaccination roll out and has designated the next 2 days exclusively for persons 65 and over.
The two exclusive vaccination days for the elderly are applicable at all 4 public vaccination sites, namely the Villa Polyclinic, the Glanvilles Polyclinic, the Multipurpose Cultural and Exhibition Centre, and the Sir Novelle Richards Academy.
The COVID-19 vaccination sites will open from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm daily.
Individuals are required to present their government issued picture identification cards at the vaccination site.
On Thursday, March 4, public vaccination sites will resume catering for the general public including the elderly.
Vaccination on job sites continue tomorrow Tuesday, when the staff of the Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority will receive their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
On Wednesday vaccination will occur at the Antigua and Barbuda Solid Waste Authority and on Thursday the attention will turn to the staff of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority and the Medical Benefits Scheme.
The Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment is assuring the public that everyone desiring to be vaccinated will get an opportunity to do so.
