All is not lost this Christmas in Antigua and Barbuda as some traditions can still be enjoyed. For many years residents have enjoyed cooking, cleaning and repainting their homes just in time to bring in the new year.
Noting the financial constraints brought on by Covid-19, North Coast Hardware is offering discounts on paint and other deals each week.
Jason Holowchak, co-owner of the hardware store told the Antigua Trumpet: “we know that the pocket book is tight…we are really trying to make it as affordable as we can.”
Hence, we have on sale (20 percent off) until the first week in December on Sisson paints and Berger paints can be purchased at 30 percent off until the end of 2020.
According Holowchak shopping is easy and efficient on weekdays or through use of their online site www.northcoast.shop. Island wide delivery is also available.
“We are just keeping everybody safe with social distancing so we are trying to create a nice shopping environment for people to have enough space to shop and keep Covid at Bay. We have got all kinds of different sales going on currently through out the season” Holowchak started.
Meanwhile, Holowchak shared that the hardware like many other businesses are feeling the effects of the pandemic. “I don’t think anybody can escape the ravages of the economic disaster caused by the covid-19 pandemic on the country“ .
The taxi man who wants to fix his house up for Christmas well he has less money in his pocket now because theres less tourists coming to Antigua.
“So as a direct result we would have less income from those directly in tourism who choose to shop with us,” he said. North Coast Hardware was established in 2010 has been operating as a independent retail hardware store on Friars Hill Road and in Cedar Grove.
It is owned and operated by Nicole & Jason Holowchak.
