United Progressive Party Senator Damani Tabor says the Government still does not have a clear plan to deal with the issues affecting the Social Security Scheme.
Tabor says the Browne Administration needs to use its bragged-about Cabinet experience to come up with creative ways to stabilize the Scheme’s cash flow, so that pensioners are paid in a timely manner.
However, he supports the Prime Minister’s recommendation of a commercial-bank moratorium, which would protect pensioners against late-fee payments for a while.
