3rd September Is UPP Primary Day in St Peters To select Candidate

The United Progressive Party’s highly anticipated primary in the St. Peter constituency will be held next Thursday, September 3,

The Party’s Elections Officer, Chris Jarvis, have explained that the Branch Executive requested the primary be rescheduled, to accommodate the processing of more than 100 membership applications received last week.

The Central Executive of the Party have since met and ratified the applications, and a Branch meeting to formally “seat” the new members will be convened to formally seat the members and read their membership into the Branch records of the Party.

The three contenders for the St. Peter candidacy made their presentations to the Branch last Thursday, August 20.  They are current caretaker Colin Isaac, Chaneil Jackson Imhoff, and Tevaughn “Peter Redz” Harriette.

The winner of the Primary is expected to represent the UPP in the next General Elections.
