The Potters Main Road has officially been renamed to Burning FlamesHighway, following a unanimous decision by the Cabinet.
This announcement was made in a statement released earlier today. In addition to the road renaming, the Cabinet has decided to nominate the Burning Flames Band for a national award as part of this year’s Independence celebrations.
Furthermore, all four members of the band will be granted diplomatic passports, allowing them to travel with “greater dignity and respect” when visiting other countries.
The statement concluded with the Prime Minister expressing delight over sharing this news with all Antiguans and Barbudans, highlighting the band’s significant impact on the carnival celebrations since 1985.
