The union is currently holding talks with all workers attached to the company which is to be liquidated.
Union clarifies workers stance LIAT pension and other entitlements
The head of the Antigua and Barbuda Workers Union has dispelled, what he said is a widely speculated notion that the union is attempting to access the pension fund for LIAT workers.
David Massiah said the union has no intention to do this and will not support it. Massiah said workers are paid via direct deposit to their individual accounts and are not required to sign for the funds owed to them.
