Seven government nurses are among the first graduates of the Master of Public Health programme at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus.
The achievement represents an important step in developing Antigua and Barbuda’s public health workforce. Advanced training in public health can help healthcare professionals strengthen disease prevention, health promotion, research and community health services.
The graduates’ qualifications could also support the country’s efforts to improve healthcare planning and respond to emerging public health challenges.
