Zaine Frederick, Miss Furniture Gallery, has been crowned Queen of Carnival 2026, emerging victorious after an evening of glamour, talent and cultural celebration that showcased the best of Antigua and Barbuda’s pageantry.
Frederick captivated both judges and the audience with a polished and confident performance throughout the competition, earning not only the coveted crown but also three of the night’s most prestigious judged awards, Best Performing Talent, Best Interview, and True to Theme.
Her dominant showing made her the clear standout in this year’s competition, held under the theme “Feel the Rhythm of Pageantry,” as delegates competed across multiple categories designed to highlight beauty, intelligence, creativity and stage presence.
Finishing as First Runner-Up was Christine Powell, Miss ACB Caribbean, whose consistent performances earned her two judged awards for Best Costume and Best Swimwear.
Aaliyah Taylor, Miss Cool and Smooth, claimed the title of Second Runner-Up while impressing judges with her elegant appearance to secure the award for Best Evening Wear.
The competition also recognized contestants for qualities beyond the judged segments. Queenella Williams, representing Miss Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority, was named Miss Photogenic, while Denesha Samuel of Miss LIAT Air won both the Miss Congeniality and People’s Choice Award, reflecting her popularity among fellow contestants and members of the public.
The annual Queen of Carnival pageant remains one of the signature events on Antigua Carnival’s calendar, celebrating young women who embody confidence, intelligence, talent and cultural pride. This year’s production drew an enthusiastic audience, with delegates delivering spirited performances in talent, interview, costume, evening wear and swimwear segments as they vied for the national title.
With the crown now secured, Frederick will serve as Queen of Carnival 2026, representing Antigua and Barbuda throughout the Carnival season and at official engagements in the months ahead.
