A Jamaican national has been charged with capital murder in connection with the January 19 killing of 27-year-old Cresean Biscombe in La Clery, Castries.
Police identified the accused as Javier Cleveland Bailey. He was arrested as part of the investigation into the fatal shooting, which occurred during an attempted robbery at a local supermarket where Biscombe worked as a security guard.
On Tuesday, January 27, police formally charged Bailey with the offence of capital murder. He appeared before the First District Court the following day, Wednesday, January 28, and was remanded into custody.
Police say investigations are ongoing. Another suspect is currently in custody assisting investigators, as authorities continue efforts to identify and apprehend other individuals believed to have been involved in the attack.
