HOUSTON, Texas — A convicted murderer, who was living under an alias and illegally residing in the U.S., has been apprehended in Houston. The individual, originally sentenced to 45 years, was mistakenly released and identified as a U.S. citizen, though he is actually a national of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
The man is now back in custody and facing deportation, according to the U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Sector. The agency emphasized that justice has been served and communities are now safer.
