Police are investigating an armed robbery on Old Parham Roadthat left a businessman injured early Wednesday morning.
The victim, who runs a distribution company, was attacked around 5 a.m. as he arrived at a bank to make a deposit. Two masked men confronted him, one carrying a firearm.
The armed suspect demanded cash, struck the man in the eye, and fled with a bag containing money. The injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
Officers are appealing for information and have urged anyone who can assist the investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department.
