The ABWU Youth Arm Executive is delighted to introduce Jamion Knight, one of speakers for ABWU’s Youth Congress 2025.

Jamion is an Antiguan and Barbudan Island scholar who spent close to 15 years working for the United Nations in Paris, and 9 countries in Latin America including Costa Rica, Colombia and El Salvador. More specifically, he worked for UNESCO, the United Nations agency for Education, Science and Culture, and was recently head of the Communication and Information Sector of the UNESCO Regional Office for Central America, Mexico and Colombia which covers more than 100 million people.

Jamion is fluent in Spanish and was the first Antiguan and Barbudan to work for UNESCO at the professional level since the organization was founded in 1945. And while with UNESCO he organized several international conferences and implemented key projects focused on human rights and mental health. His passion for mental health is seen in his work as an international psychotherapist and trauma recovery coach.

Jamion is a registered therapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a registered psychologist with the Board of Counsellors and Psychologists of Kenya.

He passionately believes in the power of education and has obtained 3 Masters Degrees in Diplomacy and International Law, Psychotherapy, and Mental Health from British Universities and a Diploma in Conflict Resolution from the Alberto Hurtado University in Chile.

Since his departure from the United Nations, he launched the Mental Fitness Centre which has been providing free mental health support. He also founded the Knight Global Development Group.
