The government is taking steps to enhance dental services for various segments of the community, with a particular focus on youth.
This initiative follows an update from Minister of Health Sir Molwyn Joseph to his Cabinet colleagues regarding the free healthcare services provided during a health fair last week.
In his detailed report, Sir Molwyn revealed that the health fair resulted in significant savings for the government, amounting to approximately $2.5 million.
Based on the findings regarding dental services provided, the Cabinet has approved the immediate acquisition and equipping of a mobile dental unit, specifically designed to offer teeth cleaning services for children aged 5 to 14.
This unit is expected to be operational by the beginning of the new school year.
