National Day of Prayer Set to Become an Annual Event

Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle came together to celebrate the National Day of Prayer on Thursday.

Browne expressed his support for making the event an annual tradition and even extending it to a full-day holiday in the future.

The day featured a large march from Antigua Recreation Ground to the Multi-Purpose Cultural Centre, drawing thousands who prayed for the country’s leaders, youth, women, and the nation as a whole.

Organized by the Ecclesiastical Ministry and backed by both government and opposition, the event highlighted the need for spiritual support, especially for the youth.

Browne called for greater involvement from schools and the Cabinet, aiming to establish the day as a significant moment for national unity.
