Teen alleged to be unlicensed driver in fatal accident is booked on four charges, including perverting the course of justice

(Real News) The daughter of the policewoman who was arrested and charged on Tuesday, May 30, has been booked on four charges in relation to the accident that caused the death of a young man.

Reports say the 19-year-old – who had not been named up to press time – has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving; driving without a license; driving without insurance; and perverting the course of justice.

Her mother, the law-enforcement officer, reportedly has been booked on the latter charge, as well – since it is alleged that the two women gave misleading information on the accident to the Police.

Meanwhile, other sources tell REAL News that the inquest on Keane Gregoire, the 18-year-old who died following the May 18 accident, also took place yesterday, Tuesday.

The sources claim that Gregoire appeared to have been sleeping at the time of impact, since his seat was in a reclining position and he was still wearing a seatbelt when removed from the wreck.

His father, who identified the body, is alleged to have collapsed, weeping, at the inquest proceedings for Keane – his only son, sources claim.

In the meantime, Tulip Horsford, a corporal with more than 20 years on the Force, has been charged for permitting her daughter, who is not the holder of a driver’s licence, to operate her vehicle.

According to earlier reports, the car had been traveling at high speed when it skidded off the All Saints Road and slammed into a concrete column.

Following the collision, it was reported that the driver had fled the scene – prompting the Police to make a public appeal for information.

Reportedly, however, it was later discovered that the driver had attempted to pass herself off as the “other passenger” in the vehicle.
