Jonathan Joseph addresses the need for a better representation in St. Mary’s North Constituency

The United Progressive Party Candidate for St Mary’s North in the next general elections Jonathan Joseph has highlighted several vexing issues with the current MP for that constituency which has fueled his desire to serve.

Among those issues are lack of access to the MP, Health Minister Sir Molwyn Joseph as well as lack of proper representation.

Joseph via a media outlet said the people in St Mary’s North have had enough and are ready for change.

“I grew up in Jennings and it has been 37 years now that our representative has been in politics. What we are seeing is a serious lack of leadership and representation. The people have had enough and we are crying out. I have seen enough and I think it is time that someone steps up to the plate to give the type of representation that they need,” Jonathan Joseph added.

“We need someone representing us in parliament that we can have access to, advocating on our behalf, dialoguing with us to see our stance on issues and someone who we can sit down and talk to.”

The UPP candidate outlined his plans for the constituency should he be allowed to represent them in Parliament.

“I am listening to the people in St. Mary’s North. Yes, I have my ideas and I know what I would like to see done through my eyes but what do they think? What is it that they want? Where do they want their community to be in the next 5 to 20 years? Therefore it is about listening for me right now and to marry my vision for St. Mary’s North with them.”

“It is a partnership. We are working together to improve the constituency of St. Mary’s North. As their representative, I will use my office and influence to ensure that whatever we agree upon to move this constituency forward, that I will use my position to facilitate it,” Joseph ended.
