Caution filed against Jolly Beach Co-operation’s Assets

Deputy General Secretary of the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union, Chester Hughes today announced  that the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union has filed an action in the High Court against the owners of Jolly Beach Corporation. 

Last week, Hughes said, the Union filed an action which prohibits the sale of any assets belonging to the Jolly Beach Corporation.

 

The Corporation owes workers in Antigua and Barbuda millions in severance. He said that caution will never be lifted against the corporation’s properties until it pays its workers what they are owed.

Hughes also highlighted that the Union will later this year will launch its Credit Union. The indoor rally was carried live on ABS Television and on its social media platform. Both major Trade Union were forced to resort to indoor activities for this years Labour Day celebrations.
