Royalton Antigua Resort & Spa to Remain Open

As the Pandemic continue to decimate the Hospitality Industry many hotels fight to remain open. One such property is the Royalton Antigua Resort & Spa.

Today at a staff meeting workers were assured of the Company’s commitment to ensuring their continued employment and social protection.

Union officials and Management addressed employees at a joint meeting to outline the strategies to be deployed to ensure that the property remains open during this period of uncertainty.

The employees were told that they would be placed on a rotation system to allow them to continue to earn so they can support their family.

The Company thanked employees for their continued commitment and asked for their cooperation during this period, It is not our intension to close the property but we ask for your commitment and support.

As the meeting went along the mood changed as word broke of the new travel restrictions imposed by the Canadian Prime Minister,  Canada is a major source market for the property.

“We are now left to rely on the US market if we are going to survive if that close then we have to reconsider our options but for now we are committed to remaining open said Rudy Richardson General Manager to employees at the staff meeting.
