Antigua and Barbuda records second road fatality

An elderly man has become the country’s latest road fatality after he was struck by a vehicle last night.

The Police say they are continuing their investigations into the traffic collision on Old Parham Road, where a 65yr old man of Clare Hall was pronounced dead on the spot.

The police have reported that the it is alleged that the driver of a black Honda CRV motor vehicle was travelling from west to east on Old Parham Road and upon reaching in vicinity of Gores Wholesale, it was reported the pedestrian appeared in the road from the northern side, and was thereafter hit by the vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at around 9:47 pm after a medical doctor arrived on the scene.

The driver, in the incident said to have occurred around 8:30 pm, has been identified as a 34yr old female of Nut Grove
