New Local artiste hopes to bring awareness with new song release

Liverson Sandy aka LiverDon , the newest hip hop artiste hailing from the Villa area is hoping by releasing his new track ‘State of Emergency’ that awareness will be brought to the injustices in the country.

The almost 2 minute track which is his second song since debuting as an artiste last month, will mention the unsolved murder of customs officer Nigel Christian as well as other injustices happening in Antigua and Barbuda through the eyes of the 23 year old Antigua Grammar School graduate.

“I hate injustice. I tried to put myself in the shoes of the family and as an individual if something of that nature were to happen to myself or any of my family members, God forbid, I would hope that the maximum effort be made to ensure that the criminals were caught at first.

There was a large outcry for justice but the noise has been silenced so I wanted  to bring the issue back to the forefront as it has yet to be resolved,” Sandy explained.

LiverDon explained that it was his mothers’ death earlier this year that really pushed him into beginning his career as “it was a way of expressing himself”.

He mentioned that he not a one dimensional artiste and could in the future see himself making songs from other genres but for now the focus would be Hip Hop, his first love.

“I just want to be the best version of myself through music,” he said.

The song which was written by LiverDon, produced by JR Beats and recorded at 16Avnu Studios will be released on LiverDon’s Facebook and Youtube pages tomorrow at 9am.
